Through the eyes of our Patients

Dear future Thessaloniki travelers

Before going to Thessaloniki, I was very nervous about going to Greece and the treatment I was about to receive. I had no idea what the city, country, or doctor’s office was going to be like, but shortly after arriving and having my first session I was immediately put to ease. To start, the nurse who performed the shockwave therapy was an incredible professional, fun to talk to, and we became friends towards the end of the 12 treatments. The secretary was fantastic, arranged everything around my schedule and helped suggest some good places to visit. The physicians answered all questions and acted in a very professional manner. I cannot stress enough how professional and kind the staff was, and they also spoke very good English. Now regarding the treatment, you get 3 twenty-five minute sessions a week. There is some pain and discomfort at times, but nothing unbearable. After the session you are free to go about your day and there are no limitations. In regards to the location, it is right in the center of the city. So far it’s only been 2 weeks since my last treatment, and full results come 3 months after your final treatment, but I have many more morning erections and can now hold morning erections, where they formerly left very quickly.  I’m excited to see the full effects.

The harbor is beautiful to walk on nighttime and the town has a very active nightlife. A short 45-minute ferry from the harbor takes you to Perea beach, and an hour bus ride from Thessaloniki takes you to the beautiful beaches of Chalkidiki. I loved the month I was there because I had the mentality I was getting treated, going to get better, and was on a vacation. There is so much to see in Greece, the people are so friendly, and in Thessaloniki 70% of the populations speaks English well, and almost everyone knows enough for you to get by. Some highlights were seeing Athens, going to Santorini, visiting Meteora, and Litochoro to climb mount Olympus. Learn to use the buses early as they are very cheap and make going to places like Mount Olympus very convenient, and make walking a little less in Thessaloniki. It will be an amazing trip, I hope you enjoy your stay, and best of luck with everything!

My Trip To Greece

I have been struggling with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction for about twelve years. The left side of my penis seems to have blood flow problems. I have tried stem cell injections, platelet plasma therapy (PRP), and an American version of Shockwave therapy to try and solve my issue. All had some small effect but none to my desired result.  I traveled to Thessaloniki, Greece, and underwent 12 sessions of Regenerative therapies, three times a week for four weeks. I loved my experience and would have done the same thing again, no question. Here are some insights that may help anyone thinking of making the trip.

Cost:  I would like to add that in America, half the amount of Shockwaves sessions (which were less effective) cost me 3000.  In other words- Greece is cheap. The Therapy in Greece is more effective and about a third of the cost.

Effectiveness:  The therapy in Greece made of difference, no question. My problem has been blood flow in the left side of the penis and some scar tissue. From the therapy in Greece, my erections have straightened out more and I have increased flow- still not to the point I want – but I think my problem has always been damage cause by intense triathlon bike training when I was young which may require revascularization.

Sight seeing and Insight about staying in Greece: The AirBnB I stayed in was close enough to the clinic that I could walk. Buses go everywhere in the city and some tour groups even bus you from Thessaloniki. I took a rental car out for two days. Some sightseeing places I would recommend: Meteora (three hour drive)-monasteries on the top of tall rock formations. It’s amazing to see at sunset. Litochoro (hour away) this is a small city at the base of Mount Olympus, home of the gods. I hiked to one of the peaks. It was a rigorous hike- about 4 hours each way, but it was beautiful. You can drive far up and there are some cool trails you can walk on if you don’t feel like hiking a bunch. Fillippoupoli (2 hours away) has some great ruins and even a prison where the Apostle Paul was kept.  You can get a good deal on a rental car (about 60 per day) from the airports. You may want to consider the bussed tours however. After paying for tolls and insurance the car ride was close to the cost of a tour. You don’t have to have an international driver license to rent from most of the rental companies, but you can get fined if you get pulled over and don’t have one.

Food was cheap if you looked in the right spots. I went in the off-tourist season so prices on clothing and souvenirs dropped. Stuff can still be expensive, but you can find some good bargains especially from the street vendors.  The weather was nice, but it began to get cold as November rolled around. I would suggest windproof, water resistant jacket if you are going in the fall.  It didn’t rain much while I was there, but some people said it was an abnormally dry year.  I wanted to stay in shape, so I purchased a month gym membership for about 70 bucks.

The Trip was worth every penny and then some. I recommend it full-heartily.

My experience from Regenerative Clinic and Thessaloniki

I would like to commend you and your entire team on your high-level of professionalism, knowledge, and attentiveness at the Clinic throughout the 12 treatment sessions I underwent under your care during my four weeks in Thessaloniki. At our initial consultation prior to the first treatment session, you provided a careful and candid overview of the research and science underpinning the treatment protocol, anecdotes of the efficacy of the treatment and its limitations, and an attentive and patient inquiry into my specific circumstances and goals.  Your availability for questions throughout the process as well as the professionalism and knowledge of the doctor and technician who administered the treatments were edifying through the entire treatment protocol. The administrative staff enhanced the experience as each was extremely helpful with scheduling as well as helping with most any other issues I presented to them, including, assisting with filling a medication prescription which had run out during my visit.

Finally, the time you spent with me during our meeting prior to the last treatment session provided excellent guidance on what to expect in the aftermath of the treatments and provided further edification and optimism in the ongoing action of the treatments as well as perspective on how to make the most of it.

In short, I would like to thank you for your excellence in this field and in the way you provided the care and treatments recommended by your research.

A health trip to Thessaloniki

I visited the Clinic  in order to receive low-intensity shockwave therapy (LiST).  I just completed a program of 18 sessions of LiST (3 sessions per week).  I should mention they have a very good success rate, not to mention the Shockwaves themselves are relatively painless.  The sessions were conducted with Dornier’s ARIES2 device. I wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the team at the Clinic for making me feel very welcome not only in their clinic, but in their country.  They were extremely patient and flexible, as the time zone change coupled with the new medication regimen, made for a very erratic sleep schedule for me and they were more than understanding of this. I will say first that the front desk receptionist is an absolute angel.  She was so helpful and caring to my situation and even though I never explained to her that I was going through one of the most depressing parts of my life while I was there, she seemed to somehow know.  Anyway, walking in every other morning and seeing her smiling face even when I was late, made all the difference to me.  I think she knew that as patients dealing with this terrible condition, a little tenderness goes a long way, so I can say honestly that I have nothing, but the most heartfelt gratitude for the way she treated me during my treatment.  Also, the physician is a magnetizing person and very knowledgeable doctor, who cared enough to read my file and to also take the time to talk with me on a personal level.  He was extremely thorough in explaining the procedures and in helping to answer any questions I had regarding my condition, as well as being extremely informative when it came to discussing methods of alternative medicine for me down the road.  Last, but certainly not least, the nurse acted as the technician who administered the Shockwaves to me, which was nearly every other day during my six and a half week stay in Thessaloniki.  As a man, going through this treatment could very well be one of the more awkward situations to be going through in life with a complete stranger, but, like the administrator, he was extremely professional, super friendly and really was such a wealth of information, not only regarding the regenerative procedure, but also in helping me assimilate in the new culture I was so very unfamiliar with. In short, he made me feel comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation at a time in life that was less than fun for me and now, I would honestly consider him a friend.

The Regenerative Clinic sets a standard of excellence that medical offices in the field of sexual medicine could really learn something from.  I know, because I have been to countless over the course of the last fifteen years, after I first experienced the traumatic home invasion that landed me with this condition.  I illustrate this point not for self-indulgence, but to say that every patient has their story and many times when you’re talking about a condition such as this, there is a lot of insecurity, shame and anguish involved, no matter how the patient presents in office.  Thus, it is paramount that a staff like this exists, in order to do the best it can to ease the mind of someone who genuinely may be experiencing a significant amount of inner turmoil over something they have no control over.

So to this, I say thank you to the Regenerative  Clinic of Thessaloniki.  Your vital service was unparalleled and your kindness was authentic!

If I ever make it back to Thessaloniki, I will most definitely visit the staff, so I can see them once more and express how much I appreciated their accommodating me.

Impressions form Regenerative Clinic (Thessaloniki)

I traveled to Thessaloniki for 2 weeks for special treatment for an important health issue. I followed the advice of my Urologist, as the Regenerative Clinic has great expertise and, as he told me, has the most modern equipment. My treatments were based on a combination of regenerative medicine methods that I followed 3 times a week. The staff of the Clinic, from the secretariat, the doctors and the nursing technicians exude confidence. With courtesy, professionalism and deep knowledge of the treatments they offer, they thoroughly answer every question you ask them.

The results of the treatments were visible a month later, prompting me to repeat the treatment 2 months later, according to my Urologist’ advice. And it was really the second time that got me back to 80% normal. It was the first time I was in the city which seemed particularly friendly to me. Most speak English and several German. The size of the city makes it ideal for a tourist, with lots of interesting things to see and do. A city full of people and young people all day. In my second glance, everything was familiar, everything was familiar.

Thank you Regenerative Clinic, thank you Thessaloniki!

The right decision visit Regenerative Clinic

My decision to visit the Regenerative Clinic in Thessaloniki was a decision I will never forget. Because it solved a health problem that was affecting my whole life. I found myself facing doctors who understood the problem that had been bothering me for over 5 years, who indicated the treatment especially for me and who followed it with 2 trips of 15 days each time.

From the first moment I realized the experience of the doctors and their expertise in the field of sexual medicine. The highly professional and friendly staff as well as the private environment made the treatments a positive experience. Treatment effectiveness was noticable after my first 2 weeks visit. Today I feel that my health problem is solved.

Regarding Thessaloniki, the city center is small and easy to get around on foot, a lively and very welcoming city. I will not forget the long walks on the beach in a period that was full of anxiety and uncertainity for my future.
